KEY TAKE AWAYS:
- You can't ignore the technology or you'll get left behind!
- I think there are a lot of agents who are fatigued by the idea of any kind of technology and there is also a second group of agents who are fairly apathetic to technology - in Australia the "wait and see" agent, the guy who waits for old mate across the road to give it a go and if that works, then happy days, we'll put this in.
- With the speed that technology is working or moving at the moment, the new forms of technology coming out, it's going to be very very difficult for any kind of agent to ignore forms of technology that come out.
- Let me just add a disclaimer, there is a lot of technology that is rubbish, so there are relevant reasons to ignore tech, but what I'm saying is you're going to have to have a look at it, you're going to have to vet and go, "is this something that I should be using, or is this something that I can pass off and ignore?"
- The largest reason for that is because you might be really good at the relationship, you might be amazing at dealing with clients and the transaction, but I guarantee you there's going to be someone coming that is tech enabled that does all of those functions better, faster, in a way that is more palatable for the consumer.
- I don't think you can ignore technology, both now or not in the future.
- (Dean) Let me ask you a question; I don't want to ignore it, but I'm bombarded with it. How do I filter through what's good and what's not?
- For the answer to that, check out our next video!
